Jesus Passes The Sixth
Brotherhood Test:
On Love Divine
Test On Love Divine
In all the land there is no place more
grandly furnished than the Beauty Parlours of the temple of the sun. Few students ever entered these rich rooms; the
priests regarded them with awe, and called them Halls of Mysteries. When
Jesus had attained the victory over fear, He gained the right to enter here.
The guide led on the way, and after passing many richly furnished rooms
they reached the Hall of Harmony; and here was Jesus left alone.
Among the instruments of music was a harpsichord, and Jesus sat in thoughtful
mood inspecting it, when, quietly, a maiden of entrancing beauty came into the
hall. She did not seem to notice Jesus as He sat and mused, so busy with
His thoughts. She found her place beside the harpsichord; she touched
the chords most gently, and she sung the songs of Israel. And Jesus was
entranced; such beauty He had never seen; such music He had never heard. The
maiden sung her songs; she did not seem to know that any one was near; she went
her way.
And Jesus, talking with Himself,
said out,
“What is the meaning of this incident?
I did not know that such entrancing
beauty and such queen-like loveliness were ever found among the sons of men.
I did not know that voice of angel ever graced a human form, or that
seraphic music ever came from human lips.”
For days He sat entranced; the current of His thoughts was changed; He thought
of nothing but the singer and her songs. He longed to see her once
again; and after certain days she came; she spoke and laid her hand upon His
head. Her touch thrilled all his soul, and for the time, forgotten was
the work that He was sent to do. Few were the words the maiden said; she
went her way; but then the heart of Jesus had been touched. A love-flame
had been kindled in His soul, and He was brought to face the sorest trial of
His life. He could not sleep nor eat. Thoughts of the maiden came; they
would not go. His carnal nature called aloud for her companionship.”
And then He said, “Lo, I have
conquered every foe that I have met, and shall I now be conquered by this
carnal love?
My Father sent me here to show the power of love divine, that love that reaches
every living thing.
Shall this pure, universal love be all
absorbed by carnal love?
Shall I forget all creatures else, and
lose my life in this fair maiden, though she is the highest type of beauty,
purity and love?
Into its very depths His soul was stirred, and long He wrestled with this
angel-idol of His heart. But when the day was almost lost, His higher
ego rose in might; He found Himself again, and then He said, “Although my heart shall break, I
will not fail in this my hardest task; I will be victor over carnal love.”
And when again the maiden came, and offered him her hand and heart, he said, “Fair one, your very presence thrills
me with delight; your voice is benediction to my soul; my human self would fly
with you, and be contented in your love;
But all the world is craving for a love that I have come to manifest.
I must, then, bid you go; but we will meet again; our ways on earth will not be
cast apart. I see you in the hurrying throngs of earth as minister of
love; I hear your voice in song, that wins the hearts
of men to better things.”
And then in sorrow and in tears the maiden went away, and Jesus was again
alone.
And instantly the great bells of the
temple rang; the singers sung a new, new song; the grotto blazed with light.
The hierophant himself appeared, and said, “All hail! triumphant
Logos, hail! The conqueror of carnal love stands on the heights.” And
then he placed in Jesus' hands a scroll on which was written, LOVE DIVINE. Together
they passed through the grotto (cave) of the beautiful, and in the banquet hall
a feast was served, and Jesus was the honoured guest.
Lessons From The Sixth
Examination
1.
The
encounter of Jesus with the fair maiden teaches the children of God to place
God first in their lives, and to always first attend to God and obey His
commandments, in every situation.
2.
And the
young men and women that come to do God’s work, should first concentrate on
doing God’s work very well. It is disappointing that many people who answer
God’s call to duty, soon go into marriage. This untimely marriage have on many
occasions mislead many from doing what God said. And so many husbands and wives
are today not doing God’s simply because they are married.
3.
The use
of songs and music in the service and worship of God is both good and
necessary.
4.
It is
the duty of the religious leaders, ministers of God and children of God to
ensure that the songs and music are melodies, and not noise. In many churches,
ministries and fellowships today, the congregation allow the youths to tingle
the ears with all kinds of noise and nonsenses called music.
5.
Even the
songs are not ordered in sequence, but is readily messed up, disorganized,
because the lead choristers jump from any one song or music to another as they
like.
6.
Every
singer or congregation is always busy singing the songs or playing the music
they like or want, without singing the songs that are spiritually fit to what
is being done, during prayers and worship, and during deliverances and
spiritual works. The general performance all over the world is that the singers
and music players are just like wild demons on the stage.
7.
Love is
true, and the a love-flame may be kindled anytime,
anywhere, between any two persons.
8.
Love is
good, but love affairs must not be allowed to disturb, disorganize and corrupt
the true worship of God.
9.
There is
the general believe that love must be between two people of the same age
bracket. This is not true, because love is like an ocean, embracing everybody.
An adult may marry a young woman, provided that it is the desire of the young
lady to be so involved. And any two persons can be friends, provided that their
friendship does not disturb or disorganize existing good relationships. Wisdom consist
in knowing where to stop.
10.
Those
who serve and worship God, must not allow the issues of marriage to prevent or
disorganize their work for God.
11.
The time
to work for God is a great opportunity to attain spiritual levels and enter
heaven, where love is abundant.
12.
But the
failure to do God’s work very well leads to hell fire, where hatred is
overwhelming.
13.
In cases
of love affairs, relationships and friendship, humanity should take the
spiritual dimensions into consideration. The man and the girl who are into
relationship might be father and daughter, mother and son, friends with one
another, in their previous lifetimes.
14.
And the
boy and a girl who are now friends without being married may be those destined
to live together as husband and wife in future.
15.
In such
cases, making laws or enforcements to separate such people is like causing
unnecessary troubles and damages, which have serious consequences against the
person trying to preach and force separation. Some people are able to know,
while majority are blind to this facts.
16.
In all
cases, ensure that necessary helps are given to those who need it. Do not stop
or hinder philanthropy because of gossip or suspicion.
17.
In every
relationship, people should first encourage and defend what helps them to
fulfil their destinies here on earth, and not what shall disrupt or prevent
their destinies. Those who fail to complete their destinies must reincarnate to
do so or are sent to hell fire. Whoever refuses to do work, should not expect
to eat foods.
18.
Love and
friendship must not keep us away from duties, but should rather encourage and
facilitate duty.
19.
In every
situation, pre-marital sex or sex outside marriage is not allowed, because the
two causes uncontrolled behaviours and unpleasant circumstances in the lives of
humanity.
20.
Humanity
must do everything possible to keep sex away from the eyes and mind of the
youths and children, who are not yet mature and ready for marriage.
21.
At the
same time, the youths who are due for marriage should be given enough explanations
about love, sex, marriage and family life.
22.
The
uncontrolled display of pornography in the human society, and by all means
possible, is not good for the spiritual development and growth of humanity.
There must be public decency in every action or conduct.
23.
The
married people should know that sex and romance are private affairs, which are
not for public display. This is very important, because there is time and a
place for everything.
24.
Those who arrive new to the church or attain
next spiritual levels should be given warm reception or accorded befitting
ceremonies, like prayers, deliverances, saraka or prizes.
